Direct to Film (DTF) heat transfers are replacing heat transfer vinyl and screen printing methods of printing t-shirts. We take your artwork and make dtf heat transfers that feel and stretch like water based screen printing, but with the ability to print full color graphic designs and adhere to most fabrics including 100% cotton and/or 100% polyester. We print with 24″ wide format CMYK printers using special DTF inks with a capacity to print 1500 square ft per day.

Wow. I've never dealt with this in a working environment only on the streets. That person wished they never open their mouth. R u sure it's not another company trying to tarnish ur company brand or a disgruntled client who did their transfer wrong. U shouldn't let it stress u or ur employees out. As long as u know ur on point when helping ur clients out and ur products r top notch. I am definitely not a photoshop pro... taking it at a slower pace and step by step is muuuuuch easier to follow. There was a lot of really fast clicking going on lol. Design turned out great!

Why are you using dollar bills? To check the tension you only need to use strips of paper or plastic.
A dollar bill is generally thinner than a standard piece of paper. A U.S. dollar bill is made from a blend of 75% cotton and 25% linen, making it more durable and less prone to tearing than regular paper. This is helpful when trying to do a tear test to check pressure. Its a preference thing but these are some reasons why we do it.
@@transfersuperstars I have been a Printer for 40 years so have set printing rollers in large offset presses which are far more complex than this. In the last 15 years or so I got into the heat transfer industry, first with computer cut vinyl then solvent UV and lately with DTF. All I am telling you it doesnt make sense using printed notes. You can even use feeler gauges if you want or to simplify things just cut up strips of your teflon sheet. What you do need is material of the same thickness both sides that will give you a fair representation of whether the pressures are all the same. Good luck with what you are doing. All the Best!
What type of Papper used to print the design ? How can print design on that Papper ?
We use DTF film, not paper. You will need a DTF printer in order to print t-shirt designs on DTF Film.

I’m trying this right now on a 11x16 print.. easier to douse the shirt and hit it with a scrub brush

What printer and system you use
We now have custom built printers, but you should always get equipment with the best support that is local to you.
Curious how it held up. I'd assume now using UV DTF would he better for a deck. Thinking about a gift for my friend.

You can just buy regular blanks and cut off the tags. This is probably the most common and cost effective way to get good blanks. Some suppliers even have tear away tags.

Do you just keep the white ink in the printer and turn it off ( no circulation )? I'm about to close down for 3 weeks and a little concerned about how the state of the white ink would be when coming back.
As long as you clean the printhead manifold and add vacation solution to keep it moisturized, it should be fine. My recommendation when you return is to turn on your printer and let it run for a few hours so that the white ink circulates well before even doing your first head clean. You might want to even syringe the ink in your lines before running ink through your print heads. I'm sure you will notice some separation in your white in.

how much heat do you use
For this particular shirt since it is polyester, we used 275f. Most cottons we run at 300f
What about all that glue left over
if its a small area, the glue is removed with acetone. If the print is big, you'll have a difficult time removing it
